HOLA!!! Allow me to introduce myself:
I am a highly skilled and dedicated public health professional with a passion for making a positive impact on people’s lives. With extensive experience and a strong background in the field, I have embarked on a journey to showcase my work and offer my expertise to those in need.

I started my career in Medicine back in Nicaragua in 2009. After six years of hard work and study sessions at the library while developing hands-on skills in a third-level hospital in Managua, the capital city of Nicaragua, I received my Medical Degree with vast experience in the foundational specialties: Internal Medicine, OB/Gyn, General Surgery, Orthopedics, and Pediatrics.
Practicing medicine for more than five years in healthcare settings while simultaneously running my private practice, I managed to grow professionally and personally, I took leadership roles and engaged in non-profit projects for healthcare provision in underserved communities.
I identified that the health challenges that the population I served encountered on a regular basis laid on the health system, and had little to do with individual “health choices”. This realization and my passion for continuous learning led me to apply for the EuroPubHealth+ program in 2020, being accepted to start by Fall 2021.
I followed a track that allowed me to nourish my core competencies in Public Health in Spain, at the Andalusian School of Public Health (EASP for its initials in Spanish) and specialize in Governance and Leadership in European Public Health at Maastricht University, the Netherlands. In addition, I coursed two integrating modules at the Ecole des hautes études en santé publique (EHESP) in Rennes, France.

Rennes, France
With my commitment to Public Health, I have successfully tackled numerous challenges in various healthcare settings. From designing and implementing effective health promotion strategies and fundraising campaigns, I have proven my ability to navigate complex health environments.
Some of the fields I have grown interest in throughout my career include, but are not limited to:
- Health communications, diffusion and dissemination.
- LGBTIQ+ health and healthcare access.
- Intersectionality.
- Migration and health.
- Inclusive policy-making.
- Health in prisons.
- Public Health in All Policies and Mental Health in All Policies.
Don’t hesitate to reach out to explore exciting opportunities for collaboration and growth. Together, let’s create a healthier and more equitable future!
