Every Monday the Hispanic people living in Atlanta tune in the local radio station “La Que Buena Atlanta” to listen the medical advice from Dr. Juan Román Mora.
With a particular sense of humor, Dr. Juan makes conversations about health and illness lighter and easier to digest. He translates scientific medical knowledge into everyday plain language to convey a message that lingers on the listeners’ brains.

Dr. Juan has been on air since 2020 discussing live with the hosts of the radio program “Los Mañaneros“, covering a variety of topics that concern the Hispanic population living in the US. From hypercholesterolemia and chronic pain to erectile dysfunction and hemorrhoids, these conversations consider important practices that are culturally engrained and definitely impact the health outcomes of the latinx population. The advice is provided in a manner that is adequate and context-appropriate as interpretations of up-to-date medical information might be bound to societal challenges, such as sexism, racism and colorism, fatphobia, and disadvantages due to socioeconomic status, to name a few.
Over the years, Dr. Juan continues serving with his public speaking skills, virtual and physical stage presence, and recognizes the growing need of healthcare professionals with strong communicative power in the delivery of health promotion messages.
